GMG Savings App Privacy Policy

We use and store some personal data (such as your designated username and password, email address, name, etc) which you have provided to us prior to use of the app.
We only use this data to provide you access to the features and functions of the GMG Savings app pertaining to your affiliation with Growth Management Group, LLC / GMG Savings.

Personally Identifiable Information: Our app actually stores very little data about you, but here are few things you should be aware of:

Your GMG account was created by you when you became an authorized agent. We store that data outside of our app in a secure environment. Our app does have the ability to access some of that data in order to allow functionality and personalization. The app has access to the username and password you chose when you signed up (so you can access the data), your name, business name, email address, and phone number. It also has association access to some of our internal identifiable data that we use to tie all of our systems together and give you the best access available through several different technologies.

Some functionality of our system that is initiated by your use (such as running a client presentation or booking a discovery call) will be allowed to store instance specific data about you and/or your device. We will often associate what type of device you are using, which entry point you initiated from, the current date and time of your device, and other non-personal data items directly to the action you have taken. An example is that when you perform a client presentation from the My Clients tab, we store this information in a log file on our secure servers in order for us to be able to best track down any bugs that might arise in our usability.

Android Specific Permissions: Our Android app may require the following permissions in order for you to be able it to fully function on your device:

READ_PHONE_STATE – Because our app is dependent on an internet connection from your device, we may need access to read your phones service state (are you connected to data, are you in an active phone call, etc.) in order to know if we can load certain content requests.

GET_ACCOUNTS – We use the Get_Accounts permission in order to allow us to keep you logged in to our app for extended periods of time. We must be able to read and write to the Accounts storage in order to maintain your session for the longest possible amount of time (which makes it smoother for you since you don’t have to log in every time you open the app).

Google Analytics: Yes we use Google analytics to better support our users:

The GMG Savings app uses some tracking functionality of Google Analytics so that we are able to best develop, maintain, and support our mobile apps. We track device information, geolocation data, and network connection related data via this service. We’re interested in trying to know what brands and models of devices use our app, what operating systems they are using, and what type of network (or specific network such as AT&T, Sprint, etc) they are connected to. This helps us dramatically improve usability across the widest platform of devices we can.

If you wish to make changes to your Personally Identifiable Data that we use within this app, please visit the GMG Portal (http://portal.gmgsavings.com) and use the Support button located there.

Changes to this policy will be posted on this page and will include the date of such changes.
